Strength Based Resilience for Child Care Providers
Open to providers located in northwestern Minnesota counties of
Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Kittson, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake, and Roseau.

Learning outcomes:
Recognize and identify strengths in yourself and the children in your care.
Recognize the impact of stress and trauma on the child’s learning and educational abilities.
Understand the social-emotional development of the child to implement strength-based strategies.
Reflect on observation techniques to assess needs and identify each individual’s unique strengths, including self.
Learn how to view challenging behaviors through the lens of strengths.

IV.A: Observing, Recording and Assessing Development (2 Hours)
VI: Professionalism (2 Hours)
Total of 12 hours!!
Course will require participants to have 8 hours of virtual learning and
4 hours of requirements to complete outside of class time.
